The Way of the Broken Heart

She thought about her life
What she could offer
Decided to follow
A path of heartbreak

She called her sorrows Teacher
Called her teardrops Friend
Took the blows that fell
Asked for more

In time she heard
The cries of the world

I will follow my sorrow
To everlasting love for all
I will find room
Within my broken heart

And so she did

  1. Hello, I am really enjoying your poetry. On another note, Eliot Pattison has a new Shan book — Soul of the Fire. I am guessing your library can get it? I hope you and Elizabeth are finding peace and contentment in NM.
