Stillness

It is not possible
To move
Toward stillness

    • We don’t know how to talk about stillness itself. We say stillness is a lack of motion (like peace is a lack of war.) In our way of thinking stillness and peace are deviations, existing only as absence. I notice that I tell students to “move” into stillness. I need to find a way to talk about stillness. Shy indeed. Thanks, Hil.
